Sofia is a rising senior at Williams College where she is majoring in Biology, alongside a concentration in Spanish. She has previously worked in Dr. Paul Campbell’s laboratory at the Fox Chase Cancer Center, focusing on the interactions of the mutant K-Ras and HuR proteins in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. She is also pursuing a thesis in Dr. Lois Banta’s lab, investigating the impact of the Type VI secretion system in Agrobacterium tumefaciens on defensive signaling in A. thaliana. Sofia is excited to contribute to the Tothova lab’s investigation of cohesin dysregulation in myeloid malignancies. Outside the lab, she enjoys singing, reading, and hiking.
